1. Substance Compliance
All Hongyi product families comply with EU RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU + (EU) 2015/863 and REACH Regulation (EC) 1907/2006. We re-verify the SVHC list every 6 months and update our material declarations the same week the EU Chemicals Agency publishes the new edition. Lead-free SAC305 solder is used throughout. Halogen-free option is available on request for medical and rail applications.
2. Energy & Emissions
We track Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG inventory monthly per the GHG Protocol. The Yiyang factory's induction wirewound process is electric; we are progressively switching tooling air compressors to variable-frequency drives (40% completed). Roof solar PV (250 kW) supplies ~12% of site electricity. Our target: 30% renewable electricity share by 2028.
3. Waste & Recycling
Process waste is segregated at source: copper alloy offcuts → re-melted (100% recovery), aluminum extrusion scrap → external recycler (98% mass recovery), cement-coated rejects → cement mass recovery via licensed cement-industry recycler, packaging cardboard → 90% recycled-content board reused. Hazardous wastes (chrome plating bath, acid neutralizer) are collected by a licensed Hunan provincial hazardous-waste handler.
4. Labor & Ethics
Hongyi adheres to the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Code of Conduct. No child labor, no forced labor, working week capped at 60 hours including overtime, minimum-wage compliance per Hunan Provincial labor regulations. We pay statutory social insurance (五险一金) for every employee. Annual third-party social audits are available to customers in automotive supply chains.
5. Supplier Code of Conduct
Every tier-1 raw-material supplier signs Hongyi's Supplier Code of Conduct on first PO. The Code mandates: substance compliance (RoHS/REACH/Conflict Minerals), labor standards mirroring RBA, anti-bribery, and audit cooperation. We re-validate the signature every 24 months and may terminate the relationship for non-compliance.
